Tami Cheré Gunden made her singing debut at age three, and by the time she was thirteen she had recorded two albums. Growing up on a Michigan chicken farm, Tami began singing with her sisters and brother in church.

The young lady with the powerful voice caught the attention of many music industry veterans, such as Ralph Carmichael who signed Tami to his prestigious Light Record label. Tami’s third album brought together such talents as recording artist Michael W. Smith and producer Joe Huffman.

Tami has toured with Christian artists such as Mylon LeFevre and David Meece. She has performed live with Phil Keaggy who, along with Michael W. Smith, contributed songs to her previous recordings. Mylon LeFevre states, "In the years I’ve known Tami, it’s obvious that she loves Jesus and I have enjoyed watching her share that love with audiences all over America."

Tami’s exceptional vocal ability and exciting stage presence have made her a sought after performer for such organizations as Christian Booksellers Association, National Religious Broadcasters, and many large business corporations such as IBM and Amway. She has shared billing with Ray Charles, Leann Rimes, and Faith Hill. In recent years she has performed up to 112 concerts and sung for over 200,000 people. Tami has traveled thousands of miles and touched hearts with her unique ability to communicate the love of God through her music.

Audiences everywhere who have enjoyed Tami’s dynamic style will be delighted by the release of her latest recording, "The Songs I Love." "The title of this recording says it all," explains Tami, "these are songs that I truly love to sing."’ Lending his considerable experience and talent to "The Songs I Love" is producer John Schreiner

As a teenager, The Second Chapter of Acts and Keith Green provided great musical inspiration for Tami. This is evident as you listen to her moving interpretation of "Easter Song" and "You Put This Love in My Heart". The classic hymn, "The Love of God" holds a special place in Tami’s heart. It’s her father’s favorite hymn, and she began singing it in church as a child. Her father has been in ill health, and when she sings this song Tami says, "I’m reminded not only of my Dad, but of the depth of God’s love for us."

"Shine On" is sure to become a favorite of listeners as it conveys a timeless message of hope and faith. Tami says, "When I sing "Shine On", it always encourages me, for though we are surrounded by darkness in the world, we must continue to let our light shine for Him, in all phases of our lives."

Over the past few years Tami has entered a new phase in her own life, that of wife and mother. Her husband Brad and daughter Sara are her main priority. "My family comes first," she explains, "They travel with me, sharing all aspects of my professional life."

Tami feels the lyrics of "Shine On" communicates her life’s testimony. "I want to use this gift of music that God has given me to shine on for the Lord in every situation. To press on and show His love to others."
