Dave Maurer is the Founder and Chief Archivist of the Christian Music Archive. Born in LaPaz, Bolivia, to missionary parents, Dave's trajectory has been in music since he was introduced to Russ Taff and the Imperials in a junior high Sunday School class. For about 15 years, he held jobs as a DJ at Christian radio stations, a manager for local musicians, and a concert promoter in the 1990s. After shuttering his music promotion company, he started the Christian Music Archive in 1999 and documented the people who make Christian music and the albums they have released ever since.
In August 2020, Dave premiered the Christian Music Archive Podcast. The podcast focuses on artist interviews with people in the music business looking at how Christ and Community make a difference in their lives.
